Other librarys’ catalogues

When researching information for a project, you may find that you can't locate all of the information that you want within the Learning Commons or local library. You may need to use the resources of other libraries to collect further information.

Most university and TAFE library catalogues are available either:

• through the Website of the individual educational institute
• via the Learning Commons Website (http://www.ic.holmesglen.vic.edu.au) and click on the Research Guides button and then Links to Libraries.

If you find resources within the catalogues of other libraries, you can visit these libraries to access these resources. You can also join CAVAL, a free borrowing scheme between Victorian TAFEs and Universities, which allows you to borrow resources from other educational libraries. You can join CAVAL at the Learning Commons by showing your student card to a librarian and having no outstanding library fines.
